| This piece has been commissioned
using the pre 1646 MacFarlane crest. The frame
is in production now and will be available
to view on the website when completed. The
completed canvas will be 24" X 30".
This is the photograph that will eventually be framed and it shows Mr Tearlach MacFarlane, piper, historian and genealogist, looking across Loch Sheil to Glenfinnan House. This old MacDonald seat has been owned and run as an hotel by Mr MacFarlane and his family since 1971. It is a beautiful 18th Century Pine-Panelled mansion house, situated in it's own grounds overlooking Loch Sheil, Ben Nevis and the monument marking the spot where Charles Edward Stuart raised the standard at the commencement of the 1745 Jacobite rising.
The framed canvas will hang in the great hall at Glenfinnan House Hotel where it can be viewed by residents and visitors. Clan Frames Of Scotland brochures giving more information will also be available there.
